Report including the minutes of the METROFOOD-PP Kick-off Meeting, which has been organized as a two-day meeting in Lisbon on 9-10 January 2020 with the participation of the Beneficiaries and Linked Third Parties. The meeting was aimed at assessing and discussing with all the Beneficiaries the project organization, planning, timeline and strategies. Task 1.1 foresees regular meetings of the Management Committee (MC) or the Consortium Assembly (CA) – every 6 months – aimed to assess project progresses and allow for decision-making, risk review, conflict resolution, contingency planning, and strategies refinement.

Report including the minutes of the 1st METROFOOD-PP periodic meeting, which has been organized as a two-day telco meeting on 10-11 May 2020 with the participation of the Management Committee, the deputies of the MC members and some other colleagues from the same groups. The meeting was originally planned in presence, to be held in Freising (Munich, Germany) under the organisation of TUM. But, as with many meetings and events, the plans were changed due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Therefore, once it became clear that it was neither possible, nor safe, to travel and meet in person, the meeting was moved on-line. The meeting was aimed at assessing and discussing project progress and allow for decision-making, risk review, conflict resolution, contingency planning, and refinement of strategies.
Report including the description of tasks carried out and technical progress, the related overview of financial status and manpower effort for the METROFOOD-PP project (GA871083), at Month 6 (Dec.2019 – May 2020). It is aimed to the quality control of the project, including controlling and monitoring of work package status measured against deliverables and milestone planning, as well as quality and consistency with respect to technical and contractual requirements. An evaluation about main critical points encountered or envisaged and a re-examination of the main risks with related contingency plans (other than - if needed - deviations from the work plan and incidents) were also made.
Report including the minutes of the first meeting between the Coordinator (ENEA) and the EU-InterMinisterial Group (EU-IMG). The meeting took place in Lisbon on 10 January 2020, with the participation of Members of the EU-IMG, the METROFOOD-RI Node Representatives (NR) and the METROFOOD-PP Management Committee (MC). Task 2.4 foresees regular meetings of the EU-IMG – every 6 months – aimed to develop strategies and identify priorities from METROFOOD-RI in close connection with the (potential) funding agencies and government representatives.
Report including the elaboration of the governance structure of METROFOOD-RI in its next phases: the 2nd Interim Phase and the METROFOOD-ERIC. As draft version, the document will serve as working document for further improvements and discussions internally to the current consortium, the board of Node Representatives, the General Assembly and the InterMinisterial Group (IMG); the final version will be included in D2.6 (M17).
Report including the minutes of the second meeting between the Coordinator (ENEA) and the EU-InterMinisterial Group (EU-IMG). The meeting took place in each representatives’ own Country, via telco through the Adobe Connect platform, on 18 May 2020, with the participation of Members of the EU-IMG and the METROFOOD-RI Coordinator. The meeting was originally planned in presence, to be held in Rome (Italy) under the organisation of ENEA as coordinating institute and with the support of the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR). But, as with many meetings and events, the plans were changed due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Therefore, once it became clear that it was neither possible, nor safe, to travel and meet in person, the meeting was moved on-line.
Document including a detailed examination of the process and legal requirements for preparing the future legal entity of METROFOOD-RI as ERIC. The legal framework at EU level, with the Regulations in place (EC Reg. 723/2009, cons. 2013) and all the official EC documentation have been considered, along with the national laws and any other official document dealing with Research Infrastructure, the ERIC and its adoption. All the steps for the application process to set up an ERIC have been carefully examined. Furthermore, the national requirements for the ERIC set-up have been considered with a detailed analysis for the 18 participating Countries, and specific fiches detailing the legal process at national level to participate to the ERIC have been prepared for each Node/(perspective) member Country. Finally, the main challenges related to the ERIC as legal entity and its implementation have been examined.
