Future Science Recommendations for Food and Agriculture
Discussion paper on “Future Science Recommendations for Food and Agriculture” METROFOOD-RI contributed to the discussion paper published by Agroknow with the support of Aginfra.
All stakeholders working on the digital transformation of food and agriculture are facing important challenges.
For the organizations, initiatives but also individuals supporting the role of scientists in both the public and private sector, important questions come forward:
- How close are we to the vision of a common data ecosystem?
- Do we still believe that a shared global data space will propel the industry forward?
- How important, relevant and possible is it to develop digital science infrastructures as collaborative and community-driven resources?
The discussion paper includes invited contributions from: INRAE, Wageningen Research, National Research Council of Italy, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Pensoft Publishers, Research Infrastructure for Food, Nutrition and Health (FNH-RI), Infrastructure for Promoting Metrology in Food and Nutrition (METROFOOD-RI), OpenAIRE, Food and Nutrition Security Cloud (FNS-Cloud), Syngenta, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, University of Guelph
